Wednesday 13 (born Joseph Poole on August 12, 1976, in Charlotte, North Carolina – But don’t dare call him that) has established himself as one of the most distinctive voices in horror rock, earning his moniker "The Duke of Spook" through decades of creating music that blends horror themes with punk rock and metal.

The Birthday Massacre are a six-piece from Toronto who have spent 25 years building one of the most distinctive sounds in dark alternative music — synth-driven and guitar-heavy, melodic and dissonant, equal parts nostalgia and dread. Their music lives in the space between a pop hook and a knife's edge, drawing on the textures of '80s Synthwave and New Wave, the weight of Industrial and Dark Wave, and a visual sensibility shaped by horror/fantasy cinema and fine art.
